We believe in giving back to the community. We call this Creative Social Responsibility.
Supported by TBWA\Worldwide, Room 13 is a network of creative studios that gives children aged eight to eleven personal empowerment and access to creative expression.
In Hong Kong, we set up Room 13 at the Fresh Fish Traders’ School, an establishment that gives children from low-income families the chance to receive an education. We have an artist in residence who visits every week to give the students an opportunity to flex their creative imaginations.
TBWA\Hong Kong is currently contributing to a global network initiative called "Project Portrait" with a goal to raise US$25,000 to Room 13. Everyone in our network was encouraged to "donate a face" (profile photo) and commission a young artist from a respective Room 13 to create his or her portrait, and make a donation. Half of the proceeds go to global Room 13 and the other half to our local Room 13 at Fresh Fish Traders School.
