Jan was born and schooled in Hong Kong starting out as a mad scientist with a degree in Pure Physics from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
Taking off his lab coat, he began his agency career at Foote Cone & Belding in 2001, working on The Bank of East Asia, Carlsberg and Jolly Shandy. Later he joined TBWA\TEQUILA Hong Kong in 2003 where he found his talent in developing integrated programs working predominantly on Heineken’s brand marketing and strategy as well as event and channel activations.
In the past decade he's been with TBWA, the marketing landscape has evolved significantly from traditional brand activities to interactive and with it, Jan has continued to drive brand leadership and ensure TBWA’s clients are at the forefront digital marketing.
Jan was been instrumental in building the digital team under the TEQUILA\ brand, which was recognized as a top 3 digital agency in Hong Kong. Jan is now the account lead for DAN Hong Kong as well as leading some of the agencies biggest integrated accounts.
To date, he’s marveled at working with a huge variety of clients & brands such as CSL, Wyeth, HKSTPC, Standard Chartered Bank (Consumer Banking), adidas, New World Hotels, Langham, Mars Foods, SanDisk (regional), StarWorld Hotel, Perrier Jouet, Chivas, Martell, Ballantine's, SunLife (regional), AIA, IFC Mall, Visa International, Yahoo!, Esprit & Japan Tobacco.
